How to change the root FTP password

The root FTP account normally uses the primary Hosting Control Panel password.

1. Open the Hosting Control Panel's password or security settings.
2. Update the primary Hosting Control Panel password.
3. Reconnect the FTP client with the root FTP username and the new password.

If you need credentials that are independent of the root account, create an additional FTP user instead.
