Can I switch between Linux and Windows hosting?

An existing Linux hosting plan cannot be converted to Windows hosting, and a Windows plan cannot be converted to Linux. To switch platforms, you will need a new hosting plan.

You can choose either of the following options:

Option 1: Move your website first, then cancel the old plan

1. Purchase a new hosting plan on the platform you need.
2. Move your website and any required databases to the new plan, and test that everything works.
3. When the new site is ready, cancel the old hosting plan and request a refund.

This option allows you to keep the old plan active while you prepare and test your new site.

Option 2: Cancel first and use the refund as account credit

1. Back up your website files, databases, and any other data you need.
2. Cancel your current hosting plan and request the refund as an account credit balance.
3. Once the credit is available, use it to purchase a new hosting plan on the platform you need.
4. Deploy your website to the new plan.

Please note: Your website may be unavailable between cancelling the old plan and completing setup on the new plan. Cancellation does not automatically move your website.
